Ozzy Osbourne teased a new song on social media today.
The 13-second clip of acoustic guitar and haunting vocals was shared on Ozzy’s official Twitter account with the message “New song coming tomorrow.” While he didn’t share the song’s name on social media, the Shazam app apparently has the inside scoop and identified the song as “Under the Graveyard.” We’ll find out tomorrow if that’s correct. In the meantime, you can listen to the clip below.
Though he has been plagued by health issues this year, the rocker has been hinting at a new album for months – news which wife and manager Sharon confirmed in an interview last week, noting that the new album is expected to drop in January. And while he may have been frustrated that he had to postpone his 2019 tour schedule in order to heal, the unexpected downtime has allowed him to focus on new music.
“I was just lying in my own self-pity for months,” he said in a conversation with U.K. tabloid The Sun. “If it wasn’t for making this record, I would still be on traction, thinking, ‘I’m going to be lying here forever.’ I’ve missed music so badly. My fans are so loyal and so good. Up until making the album, I thought I was dying. But that got me off my arse… It’s the greatest album I’ve done.”
The forthcoming LP will be Ozzy’s first solo release since 2010’s Scream.
