The Bad Boys of Boston will be celebrating their 50th anniversary one year late. Aerosmith has announced that their upcoming 50th Anniversary show at the iconic Fenway Park will now take place on September 14, 2021. The postponement comes as the U.S. continues to see an increase in COVID-19 cases across many states.

Tickets for the original September 2020 date will be honored on the new 2021 date. Refunds will also be available at point of purchase.

Last month Aerosmith announced the postponement of their European tour until summer 2021 owing to the pandemic and the band’s May and June Deuces Are Wild residency shows in Las Vegas were also postponed. New Vegas dates are yet to be announced.

Aerosmith formed in Boston, MA in 1970 and has one of the most consistent lineups in classic rock. 50 years into their career, the band has had just eight members, with four of the current five members having been with the band since 1970. Guitarist Brad Whitford is the only current member of the band that was not an original member, but started with the band only a year after they formed when he replaced Ray Tabano in 1971.
