Brian May Thinks Adam Lambert Would Make Freddie Mercury ‘Gasp’

As Queen gears up for their summer tour with vocalist Adam Lambert, guitarist Brian May has been singing the praises of the American Idol alum. In an interview with Breeze Radio Network, May said of Lambert, “He’s a really fine artist, you know, with a stupendous instrument. That’s a voice in a billion.”

He continued, “I know Freddie, for a fact, would gasp at the stuff that Adam is able to do… He would’ve looked at Adam and though ‘Ooh, my God. That boy’s got something’.”

Queen + Adam Lambert received glowing reviews for their performance together at the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas last September, triggering a conversation between Adam, Roger and  Brian to take the show on the road.
