A box set containing Cream’s four studio albums as well as two live albums will be released later this year. The six-LP set includes Fresh Cream (1966), Disraeli Gears (1967), Wheels of Fire (1968) and I’m So Glad (1969), as well as Live Cream, and Live Cream Volume II.
The LPs will feature original cover artwork and will be packaged in a rigid slipcase box.
Although Cream’s career only lasted a few years, the band had a lasting influence on the genre and were inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1993. After Cream disbanded, Eric Clapton formed Derek and the Dominos and went on to a massively successful solo career.
Cream reunited in 2005 for a series of shows at London’s Royal Albert Hall and New York’s Madison Square Gardens, but have not performed or recorded together since.
Cream: 1966 – 1972 will be released November 24th in the UK.
