CBS Airs ‘The Night That Changed America: A GRAMMY Salute to the Beatles’

grammy-salute-beatles-night-that-changed-america“The Night That Changed America: A GRAMMY Salute to the Beatles” aired Sunday night on CBS – 50 years to the day after The Beatles made their American television debut on the Ed Sullivan Show.

The tribute featured an interview by Late Show host Dave Letterman with Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr, performances by the two former Beatles as well as tribute performances by John Mayer & Keith Urban, Dave Grohl and Jeff Lynne, Joe Walsh, Annie Lennox, and Maroon 5 among others. Performances and interviews were interspersed with footage from The Beatles’ first trip to the US in 1964.

The tribute was filmed in January at the Los Angeles Convention Center during GRAMMY Week.
