RAP'S BLOG: BACKSTAGE ACCESS

Current Events!

Hi everyone! And belated Happy New Year!

I’m very late in blog land because Judy and I have been knee deep in promoting the new Van Halen, Bruce Springsteen, and Pink Floyd “The Wall” reissues!

Yes, it’s a big month for rock and roll!

First, having a new album by Van Halen with Diamond Dave as the front man again is just fabulous! What can one say?? He’s just that VOICE–that thing that makes the magic happen vocally across from Eddie’s guitar. Really gets yer blood pumping.
The single “Tattoo” can be heard on rock stations everywhere, and there are three more sample tracks on YouTube that are verrrrrrry strong! Woohoo! Rock like it ought to be!!
You can go buy the new album on Tues., Feb. 7th. Buy two and give one to a friend—just good for the planet.

Bruuuuuuuuuuuce!!! Again, what can one say?? The new single “We Take Care Of Our Own” is some of the BEST Bruce in years, if you ask this reporter. A total anthem for the people, no matter what your party or affiliation. It’s my favorite part of Springsteen, the rebel part (“Badlands” probably being my all time favorite Bruce track). And he’s leaving NO stone un-turned here folks. The lyrics, “from Chicago to New Orleans” covers the whole gamut of leadership (or lack there of, from both political parties). This is one disillusioned, upset guy talkin’ here—and most Americans I talk to all feel the same way.
You can buy the new “Wrecking Ball” album on Tues., March 6th. Buy three, one for a friend and one for another friend.

And lastly, and greatly, Pink Floyd “The Wall” Experience and Immersions re-issues! The tons of extra demos and songs as ‘works in progress’ for what became The Wall, are worth the price of admission alone. Here one really gets to go behind the scenes for the making of The Wall to really see and hear how it all came together. It’s like being in Picasso’s studio and witnessing him painting—seeing how all the early images and sketches finally turn into a masterpiece! Available Tues., Feb. 28th.

Gotta go now—will try and be back soon!!

Keep rockin’ kids! “It’s better to burn out than it is to rust…”
