Dave Grohl Performs from Custom Throne With Broken Leg

Dave Grohl is generally a pretty down-to-earth-guy but after the Foo Fighters frontman broke his leg on stage last month, causing the band to have to cancel several dates, Grohl quickly found a solution for his problem. On July 4th Grohl played the band’s entire show from a giant, custom-built throne fit for a rock God.

The thrown, made partially from guitars, lights up and features a support to keep his broken leg elevated.

In the July 4th video below, Grohl tells the story of how he broke his leg, shows the video of the fall, and explains how oxycodone helped him design the throne.

In addition to Independence Day, July 4th marked the 20th Anniversary of the band’s debut self-titled album.
