Eric Clapton Releases JJ Cale Tribute Album, Plus Watch the Mini Documentary

On Tuesday, Eric Clapton released a new album, The Breeze: An Appreciation of JJ Cale. The album features guest performances by Tom Petty, Mark Knopfler, John Mayer, Don White, Willie Nelson and Christine Lakeland.

“I would like people to tap into what JJ Cale did – that’s the point,” Clapton said in a press release. “I’m just the messenger; I’ve always felt that’s my job. I try to interpret things so that the public at large, or at least the people who listen to what I do, will become intrigued about where I got it from.”

A mini-documentary about the making of the album is also available on YouTube. Watch it below.

The album is available now on iTunes and Amazon.
