Jerry Garcia, Linda Perry Among Songwriters Hall of Fame Inductees

song-hall-songwriters-hall-of-fameThe late Jerry Garcia will be inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in June, along with Cyndi Lauper, Toby Keith, Linda Perry, Bobby Braddock, Robert Hunter and the late Willie Dixon.

Garcia will be inducted along with lyricist Robert Hunter as a duo for their work for the Grateful Dead.

Linda Perry was the lead singer and primary songwriter for 4 Non Blondes and has also written hits for artists such as Grace Slick, Adam Lambert, Gwen Stefani and Christina Aguilera. Most recently she wrote Michael Des Barres’ new single “Can’t Get You Off My Mind.”

“Each one of these brilliant music creators have written instantly recognizable classics, songs that are both of their time and timeless,” said President and CEO Linda Moran in a statement.

The 46th Annual Induction and Awards Dinner will take place in New York City on June 18th.
