A Las Vegas judge has thrown out a petition brought up by B.B. King’s daughters, Karen Williams and Patty King, seeking to take control of their father’s affairs and medical care. The two believe the blues legend is being abused by his longtime manager, Laverne Toney.

Toney submitted to the court several letters from doctors saying that King was receiving the best care. The judge threw the case out, saying said two investigations found no evidence of abuse.

In November, Patty King made claims that Toney had withheld medications from her father on tour and conned him out of $20 – $30 million.

B.B. King has been admitted to hospital twice in the last month due to complications of diabetes, from which he has suffered for years. He is currently in hospice care in his Las Vegas home.
