Little Steven and the Disciples of Soul Release First Album of Original Material in 20 Years

Little Steven and the Disciples of Soul today released their first new album of original material in 20 years. Aptly titled Summer of Sorcery, the 12 tracks on the album are a mix of rock and soul capturing the energy of the summer season. Hear “Love Again” in the player below.

In celebration of the release, the frontman – and longtime member of Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band – will host a weekend-long takeover of SiriusXM’s Classic Vinyl (Ch. 26). The takeover begins Friday, May 3 at 5pm ET and will feature Little Steven spinning vintage and classic rock tracks as well as playing songs from the new album.

The band will also embark on a world tour in support of the album, kicking off with a pair of record release shows in Beverly Hills, CA on May 4 and Asbury Park, NJ on May 8. The globetrotting trek will feature headline and festival stops across the United Kingdom, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Belgium, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Italy and Spain before returning home to kick off an extensive North American tour that will get underway June 29.

See below for a full list of dates.

Summer of Sorcery follows 2017’s Soulfire, Steven Van Zandt’s first album as Little Steven in nearly two decades, which revisited songs from his career as artist, performer, producer, arranger, and songwriter. Summer of Sorcery is available now on CD, digitally, and on vinyl as double LP on 180-gram black vinyl. A limited edition double LP on 180-gram psychedelic swirl vinyl is available exclusively via uDiscover.
