Mötley Crüe Will Retire After Massive Tour

Mötley Crüe has announced that they will be calling it quits following a massive 72-date North American tour which will run from July through November of this year.

“We’ve talked about this for years,” bassist Nikki Sixx told Billboard in a recent interview. “It’s because we are on top, holding it together. We wanted to leave a legacy (and) we feel there are a lot of bands that don’t have dignity. We want to call it a day and be proud.”

The band members have a legal agreement which prevents any of them from touring under the band’s name in the future – making this tour a true “final” tour.

The news was announced in a press conference earlier this week. A full list of tour dates is below.
