After David Gilmour’s wife, Polly Samson broke the news on Twitter this weekend, the band has issued a statement confirming that a new album will be released this October.
The album consists of “mainly ambient and instrumental music based on the 1993/4 Division Bell session which feature David Gilmour, Nick Mason and Richard Wright,” the statement reads.
It then goes on to reveal that David Gilmour is producing the album along with Phil Manzanera, Youth and recording engineer Andy Jackson. The band plans to release further details at the end of the summer.
