Rare photographs of John Lennon are on display in Liverpool in an exhibition by legendary rock and roll photographer Bob Gruen.

The photographs, taken during Lennon’s time in New York, have never been on display publicly outside of New York and London. The exhibit also features some previously unseen photographs.

Julia Baird, John Lennon’s sister, was the Guest of Honor at the event.

Funds raised by the exhibition will be donated to the Aldery Hey Children’s Hospital.
