Record Store Day Releases to include Paul McCartney, BOC, Bob Dylan and More

record-store-dayA full list of releases set for Record Store Day on April 18th has been announced and artists on the list include Jimi Hendrix, Simon & Garfunkel, David Bowie, Blue Oyster Cult, Queen’s Brian May, Paul McCartney, U2, Bob Dylan and more.

Record Store Day was conceived in 2007 as a way to celebrate and spread the word about the unique culture surrounding nearly 1400 independently owned record stores in the US and thousands of similar stores internationally.

David Bowie – Changes – 7″ Picture Disc
A continuation of 40th anniversary picture disc series, this previously unreleased AA side was recorded in 1971 to secure David Bowie a record deal. Limited edition RSD exclusive.
Blue Oyster Cult – Bad Channels (Soundtrack) – 12″ Colored Vinyl
After 11 years of touring, Blue Oyster Cult went back to the studio to compose and original score for Bad Channels in 1992. “Demons Kiss” and “Horsemen Arrive” are two unique tracks written and performed by BOC solely for this soundtrack. The album includes an original score by BOC, along with 9 other tracks by various artists.
Paul McCartney – The Family Way: Original Soundtrack Recording – 12″ Vinyl
This 1967 soundtrack composed by Paul McCartney is one of the most elusive Beatles souvenirs. The original vinyl album has been long out of print, and it is commanding sky-high prices on the collector’s circuit.
Robert Plant – More Roar – 10″ Vinyl
Three tracks recorded live during Robert Plant & the Sensational Space Shifters World Tour 2014.
Gregg Allman – Gregg Allman – 10″ Picture Disc
This stunning picture disc pressed on 10-inch heavyweight vinyl includes two never-before-heard live recordings from Macon, Georgia as well as a B-side with Allman classics “Melissa” (live), where Gregg is joined by Jackson Browne, as well as “Midnight Rider,” (live) which features Gregg, Vince Gill, and Zac Brown.
Bob Dylan – The Night We Called It A Day – 7″ Colored Vinyl
Limited Edition blue vinyl single featuring two songs from Bob Dylan’s newest release “Shadows In The Night”.
