Rolling Stones Postpone Australia Tour Opener Following News of L’Wren Scott’s Death

Following the sudden death of Mick Jagger’s long-time girlfriend L’Wren Scott on Monday, promoters of the Rolling Stones’ Australian tour announced the band’s opening show would be postponed until further notice.

The Stones arrived in Australia early Monday for a run of dates set to start Wednesday in Perth. The 14 on Fire tour was scheduled to visit seven cities across Australia and New Zealand.

A statement from the Perth show promoters reads, “No further information is available at this time, ticket holders are asked to hold on to their tickets until a further update is available.”

The second show of the tour is scheduled for March 22nd, however no information has been released as to whether the remaining dates of the tour will be affected by the news.
