The First Trailer for Queen’s ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ Movie is Finally Here

After much anticipation, the very first trailer for Bohemian Rhapsody is finally here.

The film is described as “a foot-stomping celebration of Queen, their music and their extraordinary lead singer Freddie Mercury, who defied stereotypes and shattered convention to become one of the most beloved entertainers on the planet. It traces the meteoric rise of the band through their iconic songs and revolutionary sound, their near-implosion as Mercury’s lifestyle spirals out of control, and their triumphant reunion on the eve of Live Aid, where Mercury, facing a life-threatening illness, leads the band in one of the greatest performances in the history of rock music. In the process, cementing the legacy of a band that were always more like a family, and who continue to inspire outsiders, dreamers and music lovers to this day.”

Bohemian Rhapsody has been 12 years in the making. Back in July of 2017, Brian May revealed to Rolling Stone that the production was very close to being officially announced.

In 2013, actor Sacha Baron Cohen dropped out of the project, setting back production. Queen’s Roger Taylor later revealed, “In the end, we felt that Sacha, brilliant, subversive comedian though he is, wasn’t really at heart an actor. We didn’t want to make it funny. We wanted a brilliant actor who was going to move people in both directions, to tears and laughter and joy.”

Rami Malek eventually got the role.

A behind-the-scenes look at the filming of the movie has also been released and can be seen below.

Bohemian Rhapsody hits theaters November 2nd.
