NBC has confirmed that U2 will be the first musical guest to appear on the Tonight Show with new host Jimmy Fallon on February 17th. Actor Will Smith will also appear on the episode.

Fallon announced the news Sunday during his Television Critics Association press session.

U2 is nominated for an Oscar for Best Original Song for “Ordinary Love” from Mandela: A Long Walk to Freedom and was awarded a Golden Globe earlier this month for the same song.

The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon premieres February 17th at 11:35 pm EST on NBC.
