Wall Signed by The Beatles During Ed Sullivan Show Debut Going Up for Auction

A piece of 4 foot x 2 foot wall that was signed by the Fab Four during their American television debut on the Ed Sullivan Show is going up for auction in New York. The piece has been owned by Andy Geller since 2002, when he paid just $100,000 for it. It is expected to fetch up to $1 million US when it goes up for auction on April 26th.

Geller said he is selling the piece at this time, as the 50th Anniversary of the Beatles’ US invasion approaches, because he’s “not sure [he’ll] be here for the 75th” anniversary.

Other celebrations of the anniversary include the CBS broadcast of The Night That Changed America: A Grammy Salute to the Beatles on Sunday February 9th as well as a week-long tribute to The Beatles on the Late Show with David Letterman.
