In 2016, Styx guitarist Tommy Shaw took the stage with a group of the finest high-school-aged musicians in Ohio. Under the direction of conductor Liz Grossman, Shaw and the Cleveland-based Contemporary Youth Orchestra performed classic band and solo tracks from Shaw’s career including “Blue Collar Man,” “Girls With Guns,” and “Too Much Time On My Hands” among others.
The performance, which coincided with the 10th anniversary of Styx’s triumphant One With Everything Performance with the CYO, was captured on film. The result is Sing For The Day!, due out June 29th on CD and Blu-ray.
