Check out Eric Clapton performing “Christmas In My Hometown,” a track off of his first holiday album, Happy Xmas. This performance video was recorded for his TV Special A Clapton Christmas which features a sit-down interview with Eric Clapton and producer Simon Clime, plus two performance videos and two music videos.
Happy Xmas is Clapton’s 24th studio album and his first since 2016’s I Still Do. It mixes instantly recognizable holiday classics, like “White Christmas,” with lesser-known unique titles along with an original new song “For Love On Christmas Day” – all infused with Clapton’s distinct style. The album also features cover art illustration by Clapton himself.
In the Christmas special interview Clapton discusses the evolution of Happy Xmas and how he didn’t necessarily plan on it being a Christmas album. The guitarist also shares his earliest Christmas memory as well as some his family’s Christmas traditions.
