When the Rolling Stones’ remastered & expanded Sticky Fingers reissue hits shelves on June 9 (North America), the Super Deluxe version will include a disc dedicated to a 1971 concert album that was recorded for a BBC broadcast and long been sought after as a bootleg.
Now, the band has revealed details about the official release of the Get Your Leeds Lungs Out CD.
Recorded during a 9-date farewell tour in the U.K. just before the band left the country as tax exiles, the Leeds show took place on March 13, 1971 – a month prior to the release of Sticky Fingers. The recording features live versions of many of the tracks from the Sticky Fingers album, some of their previous hits at the time, and two classic Chuck Berry songs, “Little Queenie” and “Let it Rock.”
The Get Your Leeds Lungs Out concert album is only available as part of the Sticky Fingers super deluxe edition reissue. It is available for pre-order on Amazon now.
