Rush have announced a major North American tour that will see the Canadian band hit 34 cities from May through July this year.
The tour will celebrate the 40th anniversary of the band’s current lineup, which formed in 1974 when Neal Peart joined the band. Although the anniversary was technically last year, Rush was on tour promoting their album, Clockwork Angels at the time.
According to a statement announcing the anniversary tour, this “will most likely be their last major tour of this magnitude.”
The R40 LIVE tour will kick off May 8th in Tulsa, OK and wrap up August 1st in Los Angeles, CA. Each show will highlight four decades of the band’s music.
Tickets go on sale January 30th through Ticketmaster and LiveNation.
