Steely Dan’s Donald Fagen Announces Tour with New Band

Donald Fagen and the Nightflyers

Steely Dan co-founder Donald Fagen will embark on a 20-city U.S. tour later this summer with his new band, the Nightflyers.

Also featuring Connor Kenney on guitar and vocals, Brandon Morrison on bass and vocals, Will Bryan on keys and vocals, and Lee Falco on drums and vocals, Donald Fagen and the Nightflyers have been performing shows recently in the Woodstock, NY area, however this will be the group’s first national tour.

For the run of shows, the Donald Fagen and Nightflyers will perform a set that includes Steely Dan tunes, songs from Fagen’s solo catalogue and some “swell surprises,” according to a press release announcing the tour.

The Nightflyers tour kicks off with two shows August 3rd and 4th in Port Chester, NY and wraps up Sept 16th in San Francisco, CA.  The band will then head to Japan for the Yokohama Blue Note Jazz Festival.

In 1982, Donald Fagen released a solo album titled The Nightfly.

Steely Dan will perform at the inaugrual Classic East and Classic West festivals this July.
