Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix, and Judas Priest Vinyl Exclusives Announced for Black Friday Release

rsd-legacy-recordings-releasesLegacy Recordings is offering a line-up of limited edition exclusives on 12”, 10” and 7” vinyl from artists such a Stevie Ray Vaughan & Double Trouble to Judas Priest for this year’s Record Store Day Black Friday event on November 27th.

A Legend in the Making – 12″ 2LP White/Grey Vinyl
Recorded at Toronto’s legendary El Mocambo Club in July 1983,  A Legend in the Making was originally released as a promotional title for radio broadcast only.  RSD 2015 marks the first time the recording has ever been released on vinyl. This collectible edition includes 2LPs with LP1 struck on 180gram vinyl with LP1 pressed on opaque white and LP2 on gray.

Jimi Hendrix
Burning Desire – 12″ 2LP

A posthumous compilation of recordings by Jimi Hendrix including instrumental studio jams and demos recorded in late 1969 through early 1970. The first 5,000 copies will be numbered.

Commemorating the 25th anniversary of Painkiller. Legacy Recordings is releasing this 10″ die cut buzz saw EP, including the album’s Grammy nominated title track, “Painkiller”.

Now in its eighth year, Record Store Day is an annual day-long celebration of record store culture taking place on the third Saturday in April, with an annual Black Friday event occurring the day after Thanksgiving. This year, RSD has named Dave Grohl as Record Store Day Ambassador 2015.
