The Rolling Stones have announced the release of a new limited-edition box set on June 15th. The Studio Albums Vinyl Collection 1971-2016 contains remastered vinyl editions of all 15 iconic studio albums released by the Stones between 1971 and 2016.
Sourced from the original analogue master tapes, the albums in this new collection were cut at half-speed and remastered by engineers at Abbey Road Studios. Each album has been pressed onto heavyweight 180-gram vinyl and comes with download codes for high quality digital versions.
The original album artwork and design have been carefully replicated for the upcoming release – from the Andy Warhol design with working zip on Sticky Fingers, to the brightly colored, cut out cover of Some Girls. Exile on Main St. even comes complete with its set of 12 postcard inserts.
Individually numbered, each album is accompanied by a certificate of authentication and the albums are all housed in a box-set decorated with an illusory 3D color changing tongue.
