Bob Seger announced Tuesday that he will postpone upcoming tour dates due to a health issue. According to a post on Seger’s official website, he received orders from his doctor to “attend to a medical issue concerning his vertebrae”.

“I’m so disappointed to have to suspend the tour as the band is on a great roll,” Seger said in a statement. “It’s a privilege to play for our amazing fans. Hoping to be back out on the road very soon.”

Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band are 13 shows in to their 2017 Runaway Train tour. The 14th show, scheduled to take place in Columbus, OH this past Saturday, was postponed.

Dates have not yet been rescheduled but tickets for the postponed shows will be honored for the new dates.

Heart’s Nancy Wilson and her new band Roadcase Royale have been on the road supporting the Silver Bullet Band for much of the Runaway Train tour.

Seger recently released a new single, “Busload of Faith”.
