John Fogerty Expands ‘1969’ Tour, Announces Autobiography

john-fogerty-fortunate-son-book-cover2015 is a busy year for John Fogerty. In addition to expanding his highly anticipated worldwide 1969 tour, Fogerty has announced the release of his memoir on October 6th.

Fortunate Son: My Life, My Music will be “as frank and forthright as the song it’s named after,” Fogerty told Billboard.

“I’m just being brutally honest,” he explained.  “… I’m not running for president or anything, so I’m not white-washing the life that I lived.”

The book is available for pre-order on Amazon.com.

Fogerty launched his 1969 tour in Canada in 2014. The show focuses on CCR albums Bayou County, Green River and Willy and the Poor Boys. All three albums were released in 1969 and together they spawned four Top 5 hits including “Proud Mary” and “Bad Moon Rising.” The US leg of the tour kicks off May 2nd in Memphis and continues through August 9th.
