Latest Record Project: Volume 1 once again delves into Morrison’s love of the blues, R&B, jazz and soul but this tine with a more contemporary feel.

“I’m getting away from the perceived same songs, same albums all the time,” said Morrison in a statement. “This guy’s done 500 songs, maybe more, so hello? Why do you keep promoting the same ten? I’m trying to get out of the box.”

The 14 tracks on Latest Record Project emerged during the last year as Morrison filled his enforced period of isolation with songwriting. The album will be released on double-CD, deluxe-CD, triple-vinyl and digital formats.

Also filling his time during the Covid-19 lockdowns was the release of several protest songs. Proceeds from those tracks went to Morrison’s “Lockdown Financial Hardship Fund”, which has been providing support to musicians facing financial hardship during the pandemic.
