AC/DC, Tony Bennett, Paul McCartney Among 2022 GRAMMY Nominees

AC/DC, Tony Bennett and Paul McCartney are among the list of nominees for the 64th Annual GRAMMY Awards revealed today by the Recording Academy.

AC/DC has been nominated for Best Rock Album for Power Up, competing with Paul McCartney’s McCartney III, Foo Fighters’ Medicine At Midnight, Chris Cornell’s No One Sings Like You Anymore Vol. 1 and Black Pumas’ Capitol Cuts – Live From Studio A.

AC/DC’s “Shot In The Dark” is up for Best Rock Performance and Best Music Video.

Paul McCartney’s “Find My Way” is nominated for Best Rock Song, a category that also includes the Foo Fighters’ “Waiting on a War” and Mammoth WVH’s “Distance”, a song written and released by Wolfgang Van Halen as a tribute to his late father Eddie Van Halen.

Tony Bennett has been nominated along with Lady Gaga for Album of the Year and Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album for Love For Sale. Their version of the song “I Get a Kick Out of You” has been nominated for Record of the Year, Best Pop Duo/Group Performance and Best Music Video.

ABBA’s “I Still Have Faith In You” is up against Bennett & Lady Gaga for Record of the Year.

Jackson Browne has been nominated for Best Americana Album for Downhill From Everywhere.

The nominees for Best Music Film include David Byrne’s American Utopia and Music, Money, Madness… Jimi Hendrix in Maui.

Dream Theater and Rob Zombie both received nominations for Best Metal Performance.

The 64th Annual GRAMMY Awards air Monday, January 31st on CBS and stream live and on demand on Paramount+.
